This extraordinary bespoke piece is a beautiful example of early Magnolia Pearl design, featuring layers upon layers of antique-style lace, embroidery, eyelet, appliqué and ribbon in gorgeous shades of ivory, cream and dusty rose.
The bodice features striking embroidered roses, intricate lacework and an open tie-back design, while the dramatic asymmetric skirt is constructed from an incredible assortment of cascading lace and textiles. Everywhere you look, there is another beautiful detail.
I purchased this piece several years ago through another resale site and immediately fell in love with how unique and special it was. I have never worn it; instead, it has remained beautifully stored in my closet as part of my Magnolia Pearl collection.
This piece dates to the early years of Magnolia Pearl, when many bespoke designs did not have readily identifiable style numbers and surviving professional photographs can be extremely difficult to locate.
I was thrilled to recently locate an archival wedding editorial photograph from this era that appears to show this exact design being worn.
An exceptionally rare and visually striking piece for the serious Magnolia Pearl collector. The sheer amount of textile work, color, embroidery and lace makes this one truly special.
