Listed for auction are these vintage, very rare, and highly collectible Laila Blue pants. They were hand-crafted more than ten years ago and were purchased directly from Robin Brown before the Magnolia Pearl brand scaled its operations.
The pants are made of a wonderfully comfortable, puckered and crinkled, linen knit fabric in the colorway called Buckwheat. The pants also have a four-button front closure and an elastic back waistband. Laying flat, the waist measures 26” around and the hips measure 34” around.
The four-button, lettuce-edge, flared hems add character and charm to these unique pants. The inseam and outseam measurements are 18” and 30”, respectively. A Magnolia Pearl Love label that features a black-and-white portrait of an ethereal woman is sewn on the back of the pants.
NEW WITHOUT TAGS! NEVER WORN!
I don’t believe the very early MP pieces that were purchased directly from Robin came with tags. THESE PANTS HAVE DEFINITELY NEVER BEEN WORN!
Note 1: These pants are not a typical “one size fits most” MP piece. In order to accurately describe them, I tried them on over my clean tights! 😊 I am a true medium and they fit me. They are definitely suited for a size small to medium woman.
Note 2: There are no professional photographs of these pants in the Magnolia Pearl archives. As far as my research indicates, there are no on-line pictures or sales of them either.
